Tour de Atom 1.5 was held on 18 and 19 in July 2010 between Tsuruga city and Fukui city in Fukui Prefecture. The objective of the event was to carry and deliver the following two items:

1. 1)A written message: “萬物生光輝(All creation shines brilliantly - a Zen term -)”, which was given us by Former PM Y. Nakasone in 2007 at the 2nd Atoms for Peace Ceremony. The Zen term is a symbolic center of Tour de Atom; and
   

2. 2)A video message wishing for a peaceful world by the civil use of nuclear energy and further activation of the districts where nuclear power plants have been deployed. The video message was created and edited by the  students of Takahama Junior High School in Wakasa, Fukui. See the video message of Takahama Junior High School.
   

For the event, 6 runners joined and completed the 65-kilometer course starting Tsuruga City Hall and leaching Fukui Shrine close to the APEC conference hall. On the way, we passed JR Tsuruga station, Kinome tunnel, Imasyou town, Nanjyou city, Echizen city, and Sabae city.
